wildoliver
For sale is my Browning/FN Liege, dating from late 70's to early 80's. Bought quite a while ago as my first proper OU, served me faultlessly must have had 2-3k cartridges through it and not suffered from a single misfire. Has selectable barrels but is fixed choke, choke is set somewhere in the region of 1/2 and 3/4. I have used this for everything from pigeons/game and mostly clays, both trap and sporting. Truth be told it is a little light for dtl, but will do the job, it makes a lovely sporting clays gun however. When I bought the gun it was in good condition but was varnished and had the usual small knocks. It has now been restored, the varnish has been stripped, the stock steamed (and most importantly allowed to settle before finishing) and now the stock is gorgeous, it is silky smooth and has lovely grain. The chequering is recut and the gun is in brilliant condition for it's age now. I won't say the gun is mint, it is 30 years old, but I doubt there is a better liege out there that has been used, very good quality belgian made gun too. The only job I was planning to finish was a new but pad, maybe a nice ventilated butpad would just finish it off. I must admit I refinished it about 3 months ago with the intention of making it more attractive to sell, since doing that I fell back in love with it and have been using the gun when I couldn't be bothered to get the beretta out, and for teaching a couple of friends to shoot, this is one of those guns that has a really nice feel to it, till you pick it up and shoot with it you won't know what I mean but something just feels right with it. However I'm coming to the end of the month and money is getting tight, also truth be told I don't need 2 guns and would like one off my certificate. Also I am aware I am out on a limb distance wise from most people hence the price to make it attractive to a person willing to collect. So down to the price! £300 as on the BBS. This really is a great little gun and you can never lose money on it, these guns are smashers and in this condition probably an investment! My pictures aren't great and frankly you need to see and feel the gun in the flesh to appreciate it, I will also say I have some car parts up for sale too to try to cover this shortfall, if they sell first I will prob pull the sale.
