Captain Caveman
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this in previous posts, but one of the largest permissions I gained when I first started shooting was with the National Trust. I actually started doing some voluntary work (drystone walling, fencing etc) when I was 17 and happened to mention to the head warden that I shot. From that point I began doing their grey squirrel trapping and also got the rabbit and squirrel shooting. The estate covered 1,500 acres of moorland, woodland and farmland (although I was limited to shooting vermin, no game). The trust even paid for my cartridges!! Obviously some NT estates let the shooting and on others it isn't compatible with the tourists, but I'd recommend that those seeking permission should give it a go. All the best.
