Mossberg 590

Hi all,

 

I'm after some advise.

 

I'd like to apply for a shotgun license. Do I need to be a member of a club or own a mass of land to get an ok for the license?

 

The gun i'm looking at is a Mossberg 590. I take it i need the license for the gun before i can buy one? Or is this just to shoot the gun?

 

I live in North Yorkshire so the idea of me having the gun is target & pest/pigeon shooting.

 

Any helpful tips would be great. Good local club to join?

I know North yorks is the biggest county in England, but if you're near Richmond, go see Simon in Gilsan Sports. He'll go thru it all with you and help you decide what type of gun you will need, licence apps etc. He was very helpful when I used to live up there, and he has some good guns for good prices currently advertised thru gun finder, so I'm sure he'll be able to help.
