Hi, thinking of a sling for my gun as i do alot of walking when i shoot, usually it takes me ages to get where i know is good shooting but i like my gun out when i walk there accross the fields so i can shoot fence posts and stuff and the odd pigeon usually shows up, trouble is there are so many bits for them in the ads i dont know what to do, heres 1 i realy like from BAR:

http://www.airgunbuyer.com/Showproducts.as...s%20Accessories (the green canvas 1 for £8.95)

if i buy this how would it fit onto my rifle, i dont want to pay another £22 to BAR for quick release swivels or wotever they are called :P so if i bought this sling would i have to get something like the 2 piece swivel set from JSR:

maybe you could advise me on which bits to buy i have a break barrel springer btw and i'm looking for a green/black canvas one preferably without metal buckles oh and anywhere i can get a DPM/realtree rifle bag (realy prefer DPM tho) for a decent price would be greatly apreciated

Long post but i need advice :/

Thanks,

Taylor

Hello PT,

I can't recommend it personally, as I have never tried one, but if you look at page 144 in the January 2005 Gun Mart, on the Sportsmans Gun Centre advert, there is one called the Boonie Safari Sling, for £17.99, which needs no sling swivels.

It looks like a good idea to me, I have a Butler Creek nylon sling which is always slipping off my shoulder!

Many of the American made slings come with a set of Q/D swivels fitted (such as the Uncle Mikes Ultrasling on the same page), but you need to get the studs as airgun manufacturers are only just catching on to these.
