Huntinlass
Can a bitch produce a litter of pups when she has been mated but not in season at the time? And she definatly was not in season!! My ESS came into season so was seperated from any dogs before there were any signs of blood. Her bitter rival, a cocker bitch, they really do hate each other, was in with the rest of our dogs which also included a ESS dog. A few days into the ESS season, I gave them all some raw hide chews. I was walking back up to the house when I heard one of them yelping I went down to the runs, I assumed that one of them had got the chew stuck in their mouth, but no to my surprise the cocker bitch was knotted to the ESS Dog. Once they parted I took her out and we had her in the house overnight. The next few days I check to see if she would even come into season but no-nothing. Everytime she walked down to the kennels she would lift her tail for the dog!! Its apperent to me she let the dog mount and lock with her so she took the attension away from the hated ESS bitch. Has anyone else experienced this!!
