stuey
Want some new bino's to use for deer stalking and I don't want to spend more than about £250. Was thinking of these : http://www.warehouseexpress.com/product/de...spx?sku=1007669 But wondering if anyone knows of something comparable. I was going to get some opticron countryman, but the ones recommended are now discontinued so back to the drawing board so to speak. Any recommendations? JohnGalway
I searched PW for bino recomendations, Fisherman Mike had a post about Opticrons so I had a look. Bought off the net, BGA Imagic SE 8x42 and I'm very very happy with them Think I paid £239 for mine, something liek that, search around and you'll find them cheaper as I did after buying lol. njc110381
Vortex Viper. I have a set and they're extremely clear and well made, with a lifetime warranty. Should be about in your price range too. You should take a look, they got first place in a comparison test in some bird watching magazine not long ago

stuey
Well, thanks for the recommendations chaps. Got my Vortex Vipers today in 8x42. Initial impressions are a fantastic set of optics, clear and well build with a lifetime transferable warranty. Will get a good workout on a dusk shoot tomorrow and subsequent Roe buck stalks come the first of April. Cheers Stu
