The monocular has an advanced modular design that the use of a wide range of accessory lenses and a photographic eyepiece. The image is bright and and the use of the finest materials throughout ensure the high contrast viewing in all lighting conditions. The supplied lens system magnifies the view by a factor of 3.1x - this is ideal for garden Fox watching and general security but for even more detailed views an optional 5x lens is available (see recommended accessories, below left) The NV-NOW features a standard Pentax/Praktica screw thread lens mounting - so any M42 type SLR camera lens can be used with the device, lending the NV-NOW great versatility for use in a wide range of night imaging projects. The instrument features soft-touch operating buttons and a rugged rubber armoured body. The eyepiece has click-stopped adjustment and a soft, comfortable rubber eye-cup for full field viewing for all users including spectacle wearers. The primary lens and eyepiece both have fully adjustable focus for sharp high contrast viewing. The body features a sleek, ergonomic and comfortable design. A tough webbing hand strap allows the monocular to be held and operated safely in one hand - see picture. The standard eyepiece is removable and it can be replaced by a focusing camera (SLR) adaptor that is available separately (see recommended accessories).
