ShropshireJohn
Good Evening all, I'm looking to find a new or second hand left hand shotgun, I did have my heart set on a Hatsan Escort Semi.. but then realised an O&U is the gun I want I currently shoot my dads Baikal IZH O&U which is right handed.. so not ideal. I've found a Sabatti 12 Bore O&U with a single selective trigger which is within driving distance, it comes with 5 multichokes and a key, the dealer is asking £375 for the gun but I've never heard of these shotguns before and a search doesn't seem to reveal much. Steer clear? or go for a look? Thanks in advance P.S I'm looking to spend £300-£400 realy, this is only going to be a rough gun (for walking round the farm fields) and maybe the odd clay shoot each year. MC
John, You could certainly do worse, In my opinion it is a little on the high side regards to price but if it is excellent condition then it would be worth it. Sabatti guns were made by various factories in Gardone in Italy and badged under several different names. Browning Medallist being one. To be honest they will serve you years if looked after and will do the job of guns costing a lot more.

Good afternoon MC! , Thankyou for the info.. your a star I've been told that the gun is in very good condition with full set of chokes which are the same as Browning Invector so easily available. The price seems a little on the high side to me, but I can always attempt to barter heh, shooting from the left shoulder realy reduces my selection of guns that are for sale and within my price range So I think I will try and snap this one up or else I'm going to be looking for a good few more weeks/months. I have a feeling that if I buy this gun.. I'm going to keep it until I'm grey and old
