MARK 1
hi pieman & welcome to pw when ever i build a hide i always choose a good background ie hedgeline, trees basically anything that will disguise you from any birds coming from the back of you also this comes in handy when erecting your nets as you can use the trees to support your nets at either side of your hide,as for your poles over the years iv'e tried many various ones with an amount of success & failure, the best ive found though are telescopic & have a kick plate on the bottom thus enabling you to get them in the ground properly and also if you put your nets under the kick plates it will stop them blowing away,if you need anymore advice on kit iv'e heard decoyin.co.uk have some good stuff
highdowns hunter
Why dont you try some tent pegs with a line attached to your pole That should do the trick
