Hi Guys

I am new to the forum so please be gentle with me !!

I have been shooting on my friends and familys farms now for years now usings air rifles. I am now in the process of applying for my FAC . I have just received a letter from my FAO to arrange a home visit. To be honest I have not got a clue what to expect. Do they just go through a series of questions or something to see if you are of sound mind and character etc etc ??

Any information would be helpful thanks in advance

Rgds

Relax its no big deal,

he/she will ask why you want a FAC, what you are gonna use the rifle for, they will inspect security of property and cabinet.

It,s not an exam as long as you are straight with him and have a genuine reason to hold a FAC you shouldn't have a problem.

Tea and hobnobs help

Just another quick one , due to the fact I work away alot it was advised that I should keep my firearm not at my property but at my in laws farm in there gun cabinet. Thats what I have but on the application form anyway. Is this ok ?

cheers

The only problem with this is your gun will have to be entered onto your in-laws ticket, and you will not be able to have access to their cabinet unless their guns are on our ticket as the law says that only people legally entitled to use a rifle/shotgun can have access to it.

You could always use your own cabinet at their address.
