  1. I get mine from here, http://www.animalmedicines.co.uk/index.asp Drontal for worms and Effipro for fleas just as good as anything from the vets but alot cheaper.
  2. I would suggest that if the hpuse has been built in the last 10 years it is probably timber frame as they are very common on new sites. One way to find out for sure is to contact the builder,or the NHBC, or even local council planning dept. http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...st&id=40126

    speeding ticket

As stated even if the speed is in question you have admitted you were speeding so probably easier to take the penalty, but if you wished to contest it you will have to go to court. There are no restrictions on where an officer stands. This is not true according to the ACPO guidelines "31.2 The operator must be clearly visible to the public and the target vehicle throughout the check."

    long weekend

I am thinking of taking my wife away for a long weekend for her birthday at the end of June, She is into history and I was thinking of Prague,Amsterdam or Rome. Has anyone any ideas or tips as I cant make my mind up?
  6. There is only one person can answer this question for you, your FEO, give him/her a ring and ask. My cabinet is on an internal wall but that doesnt mean your FEO will pass it for you. They are there to help and if you ask advice he will tell you what he will allow as he is the only person that needs to be satisfied.

    shunt motor

Have a look here link As far as Im aware it would still have to show a tax disc even if it is exempt (as police, fire etc) and you are limited to 1.5km on the public road.
  8. Which part of Cumbria are you from?
  9. Declare everything on the application, you have to sign to give permission to check with your doctor, I dont know about everywhere but around here they do check, if his doc says it is not a problem that should be fine but if he doesnt tell them and they find out they they will probably refuse it.

    Well said that man.
  14. Do you think I should inform my firearms officer? Why?
  15. Have you read the original post? the local showrooms are trying to charge us £1500 just for the stove
  16. £1500 is way too much look on google. We fitted a Olymberyl stove 2 years ago , yes its Chinese but not poor quality and certainly doesnt leak as said above there is a European standard so make sure whatever you buy conforms and you shouldnt have any problems.
  17. No Sunday Mail I only buy it to read Liz Jones column.
  18. Yesterday my daughter went to town in one shop she attempted to buy a pencil sharpener and was refused as it was "a bladed item" and she had to be over 18. This morning I went to Asda and went through the selfe serve among other items I had the Sunday paper, the till wouldnt scan it and the assistant was required to enter it as it as the till said it was "age related item."
  19. Number 8, speedy moisture meter , I have used these for testing the moisture content of walls for damp proofing The wall is drilled, dust measured and added to pressure vessel. measure of calcium carbide is added, vessel sealed and shaken, the calcium carbide then reacts with the moisture and gives off a gas which is measured on the pressure gauge. I have not heard of them being used for grain but I suppose it would work. If its working it would be worth selling as a new one will cost around £700.
  20. Read the following , should give you the answer. link
  21. Try DVLA, but I can tell you that PRY118 is not on a triumph it is now on a Saab so you may struggle to find it if its still on the road.

    Northern lanuage

Clarty means sticky (as above) My grandfather was a mole catcher and he always called moles mowdy-warp which is an old Lancashire word for them
  23. And he probably being paid minimum wage for doing so, The fact is that if the Council arent seen to do these pointless jobs and somebody slipped they could sue them as has happened at our local council. So he may not be the best use of your council tax but at least he is willing to do as his bosses ask.
  24. Someone has told me that garlic powder in the dogs food works as well as any commercial flee treatment. Has anyone any experience of this, how much to use? where to buy? does it work? is it safe for the dog? does it smell(the dog)?
