Hi Chilau.

Welcome to PW.....

I can also state for the record John R is a great guy we know each other from Gatwick clay shooting school.

Your welcome to come along on the 20th of this month 9am to meet up with other surrey gang members if you fancy a good morning of target shooting, setting up your rifle and zeroing and air soft.

http://www.gatwickclayshootingschool.org.uk/

web site does not really show all of it.

we also have shotguns if you fancy a go for i believe around £14 per 25 cartridges.

a good half a day of fun only £5 for the half day and you may also get a sausage and egg sandwich.

If you fancy any extra help as per John R send me a PM also happy to help you out, I have a shooting permission also so may be we could have a days swap or go on each others.

I too have PCP's and just received my SGC this week in the post i have BASC insurance and drive, I'm also an EX Royal Marine (TWENTY YEARS AGO. 40 years old so like to keep my hand in in bush craft , survival skills.

I have a small family shot in Reigate surrey and I live in Sutton surrey.

Hope you get the permission you need mate.

Give me a shout after John if you require any other help.

ATB

Thanks for the kind comment Lee. :good:

You have reminded me though, I should have said I also am a full member of BASC, not worth risking shooting without insurance IMHO.

As for Gatwick, it is *very* informal but that adds to the charm. If I was coming this weekend I would bring a few knockers, I got a set of four last week and would be happy to loan them. However I am beating on a driven shoot and its the Christmas lunch etc so I want to be there.

I think at Gatwick if you shoot a round of DTL on the Saturday it is £11 inc 25 cartridges and use of club gun. Not sure what the fees are with your own gun.

I've read a few comments about Pete's Farm on various web sites. Basically his target facilities sound pretty good, both indoors and out. As for the chance of shooting live quarry it looks like that is more unpredictable.

I might have a go up there sometime, perhaps in a month or two.

  • 2 weeks later...

Should be getting permission to shoot rabbits and any other vermin (Rats, which I haven't seen) at my work, Water treatment works.

Will be able to take 1 other person with me so let me know if anyone fancies this.

Will probably be lamping or NV shooting in the evenings.

It will be in the Surrey area.

I will let everyone know when its definite.

Hi Chilau.

As said Chilau in our other posts... John is keen and if he cant make it I'm more than happy to help out.

I have shotgun and air rifles....

Not sure about john but I have lamping kit with red light filter, I also use my night vision on camera

which works well and have my own shoot also so if john cant make it let me know if you like.

maybe we could swap at some stage, you come with me and like wise...!

John you still up for shooting some time in next couple of weeks on mine mate...?

I live Worcester park surrey shoot at Horley / Reigate areas.

You will also find us on AAOC web site and also BBS site under Jesse James or Elliotmax. (Me Lee)

Just let John or me know if we can offer some help, No worries...

Hope you get sorted.
