zorba_the_greek
Hi everyone and a very Merry Christmas to you all! Just wanted you know if any of you have given your shot guns into Country and Pursuits in Rickmansworth for a strip down clean and service? I buy most my cartriges etc from them and they seem to know there stuff but i think thay outsource the servicing side of things to another company. Been told it will be around £120 and take 2 weeks. The Beretta gallery shop in London on St James street said it would cost me around £100 and take 2 weeks which suprised me to say the least as i was expecting some crazy amount of money.... Not too sure which one i should go for? Any advise on the above would be great! Cheers
Wookie
Well, if the Beretta shop is cheaper and you have a Beretta shotgun....

Psyxologos
I never knew there is a need for an annual maintenance. Is that for O/U guns as well? £120 sounds a bit steep...

zorba_the_greek
Well picked up the gun this AM from the Beretta gallery. 10 out of 10 service. Total cost £120 which included a full strip down clean and re-grease, new injector springs, re-jeweling on both sides on the end of the barrel which connects to the action bit (not sure of the correct term :-S) and a tighten up of the stock. Gun feels nice and tight, like new. 14 day turn around.
zorba_the_greek
Injector springs, is it a 16v too? Seriously, sounds like a good price although I wont be having mine re jewelled as it is removing metal for what reason, was it tatty? Injectors for a V12 Needed re-jewelling as there were a few v.fine specs and signs of rust coming through. So it was v.finely sanded down to remove any rust specs which ment i lost some of the jewlling effect. Now its good as new. Was minimual removal of metal was needed for this process.
