macgregor
I'm in the market for a shotgun(1st purchase) having shot some clays and enjoyed the experience. Although all the guns I've shot have been o/u I'm leaning towards a s/s mainly from an aesthetic angle, although weight may be a factor. I have the opportunity to shoot on a couple of farms nearby(rabbit, pigeon) and would also be looking to use it for occasional clay shooting. I have recently looked at a Zabala Berri(new) and wandered if anyone had any knowledge of this gun or the company. It felt comfortable and balanced although my experience of such things is limited. I appreciate that the preferred choice for clays are o/u but quite like the challenge of becoming profficient at them with a s/s.
Trussman
Nice gun from what I've heard. Zabala guns are well made and it's a reputable company. Only has the one trigger, though which I don't paticulaly like on side by side.
macgregor
Thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry for my lack of knowledge but is a single trigger a drawback on a s/s. I know there is a selector that enables me to choose which barrel I want to fire first. Cheers Douglas.
Trussman
There's no drawback as such, just I prefer to have double triggers on a side by side. Looks better to me I suppose.
macgregor
Thanks for that. If it's just a looks factor then I can live with that.
