Hey Vandyke.. Many of us are concerned about the rights of people and their gun ownership, and we know how it affects other countries.. We know about England, and we are watching our boys from downunder as well.. Their rights to ownership is being threatened as we speak.. A country that takes away the rights of man to protect themselves is surly going to fail.. Look how crime explodes? Who has the guns then? The scum bags.. I do not think we are ever going to lose our rights, but i have been wrong before.. Give you gents your rights back? And all that crime business will drop.. I am an NRA member and they fight for our rights.. Benjamin Franklin one said," To give up your rights, for security provided by the Government, is a land that is sure to fail." Our second ammendment allows us to protect ourselves from enemies foriegn & domestic.. Our biggest enemy is our bloody government I do feel for you mates, but consider that many of us here know what you guys have to deal with.. Our biggest victory was that Washington D.C. cannot tell her people thay cannot own weapons.. That ruling was shot down by the supreme court..

 

 

aswell i dont think Canada is to far off from whats happening in Australia the liberals here have already said they would like to see a simaler policy implemented here

JCBruno, I thought that Canada had banned some calibres, such as .32 because assassins like them? That's what was being said when we had our handguns LEGALLY stolen from us.

yes you are correct davek when the 1st round of gun legislation hit Canada i realy don't think the powers at be new what they were doing, its funny becuase you can have a 5 inch barreld revolver in 500 s&w magnum but you cant have a 5 or 6 inch 32 special revolver. aswell when it cam to semi auto rifles some were banned and made the prohib list if you had one before a certain date you can keep it but cant realy ever shoot it, some semi auto rifles made the restricted list which means you can only take them to the range and other semiautos are non restricted and you can hunt with them. its reaaly silly some rifles got prohibited becuase of there apearance ie steyr aug, mp5 carbines g3 FNc1a1 or l1a1, some semis made restricted like the ar15, HK sl8, which means they can only be used at a proper range like pistols. and some are non restricted aside from the browning and remington hunting semiautos you can have a M14,Ruger mini 14,sig 550/pe90.CZ858,sks etc and you can hunt or plink in the country side with these. so i realy dont know how all this confusing rules have done anything to stop criminals from using guns. complete idiocy :unsure:
