maddog546
My shooting associate has just return from what I enviously thought was a magic week of shooting in Scotland, days out on Geese,Duck,Days out stalking and a day out to a distilliery ,awesome me thinks. 1st day up early and off they troupe to the field, where they set up their decoys and await for first light, the birds gradually start to arrive and he thinks excellent day ahead!!His new shotgun that he collected before Christmas is aimed skyward and after discharging the first shot jams the selector for the barrels and will not open, result a day sat watching everyone else shoot. 2nd and 3rd day he has to hire a gun and drops a few birds 4th day out stalking without much luck but after his guide for the day drops a red he gets a chance and drops one too,but thats it for that day. 5th day Whiskey, whiskey and more,a good Birthday present. 6th day He requests his wife to drive home as he is obviously in no fit state to drive early in the morning,oh well they set sale for Cornwall, when not 50 miles into their journey a deer leaps into the road infront of them and his wife being unable to avoid it collides with the beast, taking out the headlight and smashing in the wing on their car, superb journey home on one headlight. HE WAS STILL PIEVED ON WEDNESDAY. So it just goes to show that all the best laid plans in the world cant bring you happiness. And to make him even happier by the time he caught up with me that night I had shot the only two fox seen that evening, shame really as one was a cracking shot of 196yards ,made my evening anyway. So never let the little green eye devil spoil your shooting.
