Carbonrocket
They are all good but which one as I will be VERY near livestock and need it quiet when vermin shooting (rats). Help. Carbon
fatcontroller
Fitted a HW to mine real quiet. But it will make the gun longer by the whole length of the silencer. I shoot near livestock and it don't bother mine. FC

Carbonrocket
I have now purchased a BSA VC silencer and it really is DAMN quiet. Quiet enough that three rats straight away in the head. They did not realise what was happening, the smack was louder than the spring hammer next to my ear. In all tonight between 20 - 25 rats died but I did find the rat city on my permission and an unused phesant penn where they 'thought' they were untouchable. Big one got away though! It was huge, slightly smaller than a domestic cat. Got it in the neck at 20 m it carried on, got it in the body 5 m later and it carried on. It stopped 25 m from me to have a look and I got it again in the body and it still ambled away. Must be dead now, after shooting and collecting bodies I had a look for it but no luck. I started to scare roosting birds so had to withdraw my search as I wont risk my permission over a rat however big it was. Carbon
