ShropshireJohn
I'm in the market for an air pistol. We've got a mice infestation in the barn loft above the milking parlour where the mice are getting cow corn/ration adlib, resulting in some rather fat mice which I don't realy want to be shooting with my HW100. I've been looking at the Umarex/Walther CP99 with a silencer and front laser fitted, this is around 9months old, the seller wants £95 for it. Would this be more than adaquete for my needs? Thanks in advance John
airssassin
I might be wrong but isn't that pistol around 3ft/lb? I know you are shooting at mice but that's not very much power for anything more than point blank range. Personally, I'd want something a bit more powerful and preferably with a small scope. How about the crosman 2240 (Co2 single shot) which is about 6ft/lb. I had a 1377 which requires pumping up for each shot.. that would have been more than enough too but the sights were terrible. If you specifically want a multishot, I think you will struggle with power/accuracy or both. I had an anics skiff. It was the most powerful Co2 multishot at about 4ft/lb but the trigger pull was really heavy making it inaccurate. The crosman ratcatcher is halfway between a pistol and a rifle and is about 9ft/lb, it comes with a small stock and scope for quite a cheap price. If you really want some fun and have a few pennies to spare, Falcon make some tasty full power multishot PCP air pistols.

amateur
....... How about the crosman 2240 (Co2 single shot) which is about 6ft/lb....... I can recommend the 2240 which are available new for less than £90 - a bit noisy though Very accurate and have headjobbed both pigeons and squirrels at up to 10 yds in the garden with a small scope - not seen a rat or mouse in my garden, so I can't comment on that. I use Bisley hollowpoints Edited February 23, 2009 by amateur

ShropshireJohn
I think I'll buy a new short range sight for my HW100, I'm currently looking at lasers and red dot sights, Although I can't seem to find a railmounted laser EDIT - I've bought a cheap red dot sight from JSR, under £10 delivered.
