.222 Steyr-Mannlicher SL

Recommended Posts

Full stocked with free-floating 20" barrel.

To my mind, these rifles are of far better design than the modern SBS 96 actioned rifles- the bolt handle of these doesn't jump up with a clunk when you push the safety off!

The blueing is very good. It has a rotary 5 round magazine and a creep-free single set trigger (not the double set trigger found on most older Mannlichers). Pillar bedded at the factory into a pleasant oil finished walnut stock.

The rifling is very good and the throat still very sharp.

Handles beautifully. Includes 1" Apel 'swing off' mounts for easy scope removal and re-fitting should you feel the need to use the open sights. The mounts alone would now cost over £300.

For sale at £450.

I am in Derbyshire.

Those who know me will vouch for the fact that I have as much chance of e-mailing a photograph as I do of climbing to the moon on a rope of sand, so please don't ask. However, I will send pics from my mobile phone to genuinely interested parties who PM their phone number.
