gameshooter09
Hello, Ok, Im stuck between a Beretta 682 (around 800) and a Miroku 4800 (£650). Basically I'm asking you which will be the best for an all round gun? It'll be used for clay pigeon and some rough shooting. Both are 12 bores and multi-choke, however the Miroku is a fair bit cheaper than the Beretta, but I guess the Beretta is a better gun.. Any hope you can advise me. Many Thanks Regards Edited March 9, 2009 by gameshooter09
andy33
Hi mate, Just bought a Miroku mk70 at the weekend, sounds like were buying for the same reasons, so took the gun with me at the weekend to walk over the fortyacres i shoot over and have to be honest the gun felt heavy after a while, im not sure the beretta would have been any better they both felt similar at the time, price was the predictor for me personaly. i'd have to say on the clays i can shoot pretty well for a novice but as they say if it feels comfy you'll do well with it, i'll probably buy something cheap for the ough shoot anyway, already looking at pcp rifles !!! the wife oh no. poontang
Both are good guns and if looked after will serve you well. At those prices they're obviously secondhand, any chance you can put a few rounds through each of them? The better gun would be the one that fits you best, forget the make and price and make sure the one you pick is the right one for you. There's only £150 difference between the two, a small price to pay for the correct choice, even if it means saving a bit longer or borrowing the extra. gameshooter09
Yes thank you for the great advise. The person selling the Miroku has offered me a offer thats hard to refuse. He's offering me a free shooting session at his training school which he will be tutoring me with the gun, before I buy it. So I can he if the gun is really for me. But for the Beretta I wouldn't be able to test it out. Thank you very much. Regards GameShooter09
