Llanshooter
Does anyone know of anywhere in North East Wales/Cheshire/Shropshire that may have some opportunity for Woodi shooting. There is a lot of land around Wrexham but much of it seems to be estate owned and stiched up. Cheers
Llanshooter
Had a day on a farm near Wrexham yesterday. Walked off 100+ birds on arrival set out 10 deeks on a bare field that is ready for sowing, but is between two woods. Sat there for a good couple of hours and only had 3 birds to te deeks. Got to 1 o clock and someone must have flicked a switch as I had 20 in the next couple of hours, adding the fallen birds to te pattern. the more birds were out the faster they came. Should have had at least 40 but shot like a buffoon. If I could have stayed till dark I don't know what the count would have been, as they seem to like this field in the afternon/evenings. Its only a small farm that a friend got me access to but this pigeon shooting is good fun!! Only down side is I've got to breast em all tonight, though may freeze a few for deeks
Salop Matt
Pigeon shooting in shropshire this year iv found to be poor ! And by all accounts from local fellow shooters the pigeons have stayed away from our county !
Llanshooter
I work in Wrexham and there are tons of them around the suburbs !!! Only ever two or three at a time but theyare everywhere. The farm I was at on Monday had several flocks of 30-50 come over at height whilst I was there, Not East Anglian proportions I know but enough for abeginner like me.
