Browning GTS
why does everyone keep saying the 17hmr is expensive to run.theyre no more expensive to run than a 12bore shotgun, nowhere near as expensive as some centrefires.its just 22lr is so riddiculously cheep to run If you dont waste what you shoot how can it be expensive? 25p ish a round local butcher pays £1 a rabbit in fur 75p profit every time it goes bang

Personally I don't like either so the foxes get them (farmer wants them on his land to help keep pests down) - it's no waste really as I enjoy the sport but it can get a little expensive when I'm not working (especially as I spend my free time shooting ). You should ask around most butchers around here will take them, my one has been importing rabbits this winter because he cannot get enough locally. fieldwanderer
yeah, I'll do some more asking round - gotta be worth a go and it's been a while since I last tried. Was told a while ago though that butchers weren't allowed to buy "game" from anyone but a registered game dealer for health and safety reasons
