larson Posted April 4, 2009 Report Share Posted April 4, 2009 ive striped down my silencer and i wanted to know would it be more silent if i pack it more? would it be more silent if i tape the foam stuff tight on to the tube with the holes? should i just leave it alone? and could messing alter a chrono reading? is so what would need to be done to put ft lbs up/down.. i.e more less packing...i no how to alter it but dont want it to move as im at 11.5 ft lbs now Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

IF IT AINT BROKEN............................................................ your ft / lb should not alter if you do any work on your silencer, shoot your rifle with silencer on, take a reading, shoot your rifle without silencer, take a reading............guess what??:good:???? fieldwanderer Posted April 4, 2009 Report Share Posted April 4, 2009 I've got silencers (moderators is the official term) to shoot quieter, you just need more baffles but still need a decent space at the rifle end of things for the air/gas to expand.
