saunders.shoots Posted April 13, 2009 Report Share Posted April 13, 2009 i have read about pigeon shooting clubs alot recently. but there arnt any in the south east. i think we should start up a pigeon shooting club in the south east. kent and sussex. if we all put are land together then im sure there would be plenty of opportunities to shoot. we would have alot better days shooting if we work in groups and move where pigeons go. we could also charge people from other places to shoot on the land. i think it is about time this is done in kent and sussex. louis. p.s already have 3 farmers that would love this idea. CZ550Kevlar Posted April 13, 2009 Report Share Posted April 13, 2009 This idea was tryed before a while ago in Kent and boy did it go wrong, the money that was paid by people went to the wrong places and varied hugely and sometimes unfairly and some people only chipped in permission of a couple of hundred acres where as people like me were asked to contribute somewhere is the region of 3000 arcres, nowadays i have 3000 acres of farmland and 1500 acres of orchards and i found all thst happened was people were approaching my landowners directly trying to sneak in the back way which was shall we say slightly annoying. It also nearly lost me one of my landowners due to people booking into fields then deciding that morning they would go to somewhere else as the pigeons weren`t in the right place at the right time for them. It really needs someone with alot of time on their hands which means someone that would have to do it full time as a job due to all the admin, personally speaking i don`t want to take the chance again.
