Saddler/leather worker

Anyone know of a "cobbler" who could make a replacement seat for a shooting stick, using the old leather one as a template? All the local ones are heel and sole merchants.

Don't think there are many cobblers left now Tungsten, certainly around here anyway. You will stand a better chance with a saddle maker and there are still plenty of them still in business. Just be careful though that you get a quote first, I took a gun slip in to one to have the leather blocked end repaired, picked it up about a week later, he'd used about 3 square inches of leather, looked as though he'd spent no more than 10 mins on the job, it was a completely different colour AND he charged me £25. Worst of it was I couldn't argue as the saddler wasn't there and the girl that served me was wearing very, very tight jodhpurs  To cap it all the zip broke on the gun slip about 3 weeks later :(
