mick miller
Nice shooting, where do you aim at on a bunny with an air rifle? With the .17 hmr I was aiming just to the side and slightly below the eye. Now I have an air rifle (.177), I figure that may not be the best place to aim for if I want a clean kill. andy33
Generally i would say anything above the neck, i like to catch them side on so as to maximise the shooting opportunity. To be honest i'm waiting on fac application as personally speaking i havnt had that much success with the air rifle so will upgrading to 17 hmr/22rf. Air rifle wise i struggle to work it out, the reasons for inconsistency i mean also not much for the range restrictions as the land i shoot on can be fairly open in places so need something for 80 to 100 yrds. Cheers.

That's what I've been thinking, my .177 is going to be okay for pigeons, crows, magpies and squirrel but under gunned for rabbits. The .17 is ideal for that no doubt. Good luck with the FAC app.
