steve0146 Posted June 28, 2009 Report Share Posted June 28, 2009 I agree with the above. You should start as soon as possible. Everything has to be a fun game and really short sessions. You can practice sit before every meal. If you hold the bowl or treat by her nose and move it backwards she should naturally sit. Make sure she has got to grips with each thing before moving on. Sit, wait, recall and walking nicely to heel are the very basics in my opinion. Our jack russell naturally retrieves a ball to hand without any training. Trouble is our lurcher is still very extreme, either brillliant or rubbish and he is the worker! He is still a pup i suppose. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
