Harnser
First you must satisfy your self that the person selling the gun has it on his shotgun licence by checking the serial number on the gun with the serial number on the shotgun licence . The seller has to check that you are the person holding the shotgun certificate by checking you against the photo on your certificate . The seller will then transfer all the details of the gun ,make ,calibre ,configuration and serial number onto you certificate in the section purchase of shotguns including his own shotgun certificate number , You then both have to notify your respective constabularys of the sale or transfer within 7 days .
