ernyha
how long does it take them to return after shooting a shot  How long is a piece of string? It can be a couple of minutes, never or any time in between. From the reports this year in "Talk from the field" it would appear that they don't often return at all. :<
hill billy
as ernyha said how long is a piece of string, it all depends what you idealy want is a place that they depend on like if it is the closest wood in the area if they have nests there or if they have a good supply of food. i have found that it is very difficult to shoot pigeons with any gun in a wood this time of year because the foliage. Me and my friend found a brilliant spot for pigeons because there was a water but in a field with a fence behind it so pigeons used to land on the fence then get shot off of it.
