racingfrank7
My 391 is a bit short for me, my cheek is right at the front of the stock with my nose nearly touching my thumb, so i need to know what other people have done to lengthen the stock with out it looking a bodge or a mess. I have the longest butt pad on that it came with 23mm i think. I was thinking of some sort of black plastiic spacer in front of the pad behind the stock so it match's, but cant seem to find any and just thought i would give a shout out before i set about making something. Beardo
you can get a spacer that fits between the stock and the action part 10 below http://www.berettaweb.com/sezionati/sez%20AL391.htm Edited July 14, 2009 by nickbeardo
activeviii
part 10 is to adjust the angles of stock, it will not lengthen it. i have the same problem so spoke to GMK about it only last week. you can get to size stock spacers that go on between stock and butt pad, there is also a deeper butt pad, mine is the gel-tek pad and comes in 15mm and 20mm, they measure pads in the middle. im going to get a latex stock cover as its cheaper and i can then morve it around different guns without added expense. i cant use leather as i have a kickoff and it will hinder the action i was told. i dont know the part numbers but 130-131 on the drawings that Nickbeardo put up. regards Phil
Beardo
i thought they also did a generic spacer that fits in that bit?
racingfrank7
Rang gmk about the exploded diagram showing the 391 with a spacer, the guy i spoke to in sales was very helpful and spent some time on phone to me, the spacers shown are for a feild model and can be surplied, but mine is a sporter so they will not fit due to the sporter having a bigger butt. So he surgested a gmk wegu pad which are a sort of black plastic / rubber spacer ment for the job and come in a few sizes, the biggest been 24mm at £8.00 ! After going to see my local dealer and getting him to have a dig about in the back he found me a 12mm spacer. After a hour or so's work rubbing / filing it down to size it does the job and doesnt look an eye sore, also retaing the orignal gun.
