Countryside management.

I have been for an interview at Rodbaston college today, to study countryside management and gamekeeping, and im pleased to announce i got a place on the course. Hope its all as good as it sounds. Anyone on here want to share any views of their experience at college please feel free.

im doing the same based course at walford in shrewsbury what does yours involve ?

 

Rearing pheasents and partridge for the college shoot, All types of conservation, building pens, traps, hedge laying, pest control, deer management and all manner of things. There will be trips away, the first of which will be to the isle of skye to see the golden eagles and whales and to study the conservation. I just hope its as good as it sounds. Is yours something similar?

is your two year ? im doing 1 year of apprenticeship so im earning, my secound year is a crash course with basically the same as yours with trips to scotland for weeks its really amazing. theres all the learning about trees flowers an even a poachers awareness unit on how to tackle poachers. with a mallet i suspect. haha

Yes, it sounds similar, mines for 2 years, full time. 4 days at college and 1 day work experience.
