Fisherman Mike
Occassionally I shoot with an elderly guy who uses his 410 DB for everything flying. He mainly uses it as a walked up game gun and is a quite spectacular shot wth it. Watching him bring down a mid range Partridge or Pheasant is a joy. Of course the high birds are a no no but he exercises great self control whereas I would be tempted to loose both barrels. I think in the right hands the 410 and the 28 g can be very effective. I will sometimes take mine Pigeon shooting and it is very enjoyable when they are decoying well at a sensible range. By the way the guy is 86 and a Former Army Rifle and CP champion. wacker
I agree with you, they are great fun to shoot, you get a good feeling when you smoke pigeons with them. It would be good to dust some clays with the .410 but at £5.75 a box i'd run out of cash very quick!!
