Slug
Can someone PM me that has a good depth of knowledge of this discipline, as I am new to the sport and haven't quite worked out who knows what on this forum, as I need some info about clubs, training, associations etc. Many thanks... Heladoxa
Hiya Slug, I've just had a look at Practical Shotgun on Google and there's loads of information there about what the sport is and where you can get training. One of the sites says that you can get through 250 - 300 cartridges a day! Sounds like you are going to hurt your shoulder and your pocket at the same time! Good luck Bill
LostWomble
Contact the UKPSA via their website. They are the UK region of IPSC with is the international body. Most police authorities will want to see membership of before granting slug for target. Competitions in the UK mainland are mainly shotgun (PSG), or LBR/LBP with some .22 minirifle. In NI there is still practical pistol but you need to be a resident or belong to a club out there. Before you can start you will need to complete and pass a safety course. These are ususally run over weekends at various locations in the UK. IM me for more info on who to contact for courses.
