ryantidgwell Posted August 10, 2009 Report Share Posted August 10, 2009 was at work this morning and was absolutly dead so thought balls i am going home ! so got home and was even more bored , so gear in the car got dragged to the shop for snacks for my Mrs (pregnant and always eating) , so got to the farm few bitds around there is still a field of swathed rape only been done couple of days and was alot of birds coming in , so set up shot two with two shots about 200 lifted and that was that they moved on ! sat there a hour and gave up drove down one of the edges and shot a rabbit out the window with the air rifle clea head shot about 36 yards dead on the spot moved over the cattle grid and got a tiny bunny again stone dead !.. the decided to go to the other side of the farm where the barns are and noticed loads of doves going in and out getting the seed so shot one of the roof landed on the deak and the farmers cat come from no where picked it up and ran off ! i have never laughed so much in my life it was the smallest scabbiest cat ever the dove was as big as it ! least it had a good feed!! i then sat on the edge of a fresh cut barley field where they was just loads of doves sat there so i shot one DEAD the they took off apart from one so i shot that one then two more came and landed next to the dead ones so shot them ! so all in all was not a bad day Cant beat the Air rifle shooting ! well not untill i get a nice rim fire Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
