As per the title - are they really worth it? and should I part with my hard earned...?

My understanding is that it removes the seating depth guess work from a standard seating die...

I notice that redding offer one for 90 odd quid - http://www.midwayuk.com/apps/eproductpage....leItemID=531039

I currently use purely Redding dies

Would it be worthwhile saving myself £30 and going with RCBS instead? - http://www.midwayuk.com/apps/eproductpage....leItemID=173612

one word "YES" they are worth it,rather than guessing you can turn the dial to adjust perfectly,BUT you must use the rest of the gear to do this accuartley namley a bullet comparator fixed to your calipers

also if you use different bullets you havnt got to keep adjusting and guessing your bullet depth to set a std die up,just simply press a bullet "long" measure it correctly useing a comparator and then adjust the dial
