Slug
A friend and I went to Parkford today, I took along Eley firsts for the first time, 28's in a no 9, as usual, now my mate normally buys their cartidges ( Same weight and size different make ), the Eley firsts are slightly shorter in lenght than the "Blues", my question is this, for any given gun and given choke can the lenght of cartridge change the pattern over the same given distance, the reason I ask is I was cooking on gas and had a blinder of a day..he couldn't hit a thing or was he simply having a bad day ? Edward
As far as I am aware it makes not a jot of a differnce, the extra length is made up by wad and that doesnt affect much. (please correct me if Im wrong)
