Chick circles / pens

Recommended Posts

I wouldn't personally use them as they are open slatted so chicks can get their heads stuck (possibly walking straight through the gaps) and I wouldn't think it would be easy to keep the heating correct due to draughts getting in. They also seem quite clumsy to be moving around and cannot be made smaller to start with and be opened up before removing. Timber slats give a huge surface area for disease to cling onto also. Just a couple of my thoughts on these but nice to see someone giving a heads up.
