i had one on my 308 howa for a while, dunno if it would have lasted 'longterm' but for about 4-5 months it held together ok

My .204, as mentioned, has very little recoil, and if I fitted this scope, I estimate that I would probably fire less than 50 cartridges per month.

I am tempted to buy one and try it.

Well, I took a chance and purchased the above scope in 4-12x50. I fitted it to the rifle and went up the farm this morning to zero it. It was a bit difficult at first owing to the fog. I started at 50 yards, and then moved the target back to 100 yards. I managed to get the bullets within a 3" circle, and all grouped well. I intend to fine tune it one day next week. On the way back to the farmyard, there were some Carrion Crows in a field. I stopped my vehicle, got the rifle ready, and ranged one of the Crows at 191 yards. A good backstop behind it, so I thought I would try for it. I aimed directly at it, and hit it square on. A few feather's floated up in the air, and there's now one less Crow to cause damage to the lamb's this coming spring.

Hopefully, the scope will be okay with the low recoil on my rifle. if not, I'll fit it onto my S410 FAC.
