Eliminating rats and bunnies, Scuba diving (wrecks) and all things shooting related!
  1. Hi All, Thought it about time I popped up some snaps of my bunny, pigeon, squirrel, crow and rat basher. So this is my S16s with 3-9 x 40 Scope with illuminated reticle, powerful deben scope mounted torch for close range lamping, Gen 1 Yukon NV for catching rattie out and a laser for helping me with target range (beam on the cross hairs is 30yrds etc...). Its camouflaged up because the crows and squirrels got wise to the barrel sticking out of the hedge, clever *******... Also there is my CP88 for plinking and keeping my eye in with a pistol.
  2. A belated hello from another Herts lad See you soon bud
  3. Hi all, Been loitering on this site for a while now, so figured it was about time to say hi. I own and shoot a Logun s16s .22 (non FAC) for rodent control and of course fun. Been shooting all sorts since I was a nipper and hope to get my SGC and FAC one day, which I always thought was impossible with our current laws until I found this site and started reading. So big thanks to the members for the advice posted and also big thanks for the smiles when topics go off on one!

    Logun S16s

Deffo try to get one to hold and shoot before you buy. However when you do come to buy one haggle the price down and you'll get a good deal, mine was priced at £350 originally, but I got another seller down from £400 (but it was MkI and I wanted a Mk II), so there are deals to be done... Good luck in your search.

    Logun S16s

Search the classifieds on this forum, "Airgunforum.net" and "Airgun BBS", it took me 2 months before I found one I liked the look of. If you do a Search on google for "Logun s16 for sale" you should get an idea of whats about. A very quick scan showed these one's up: http://www.airgunbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=201227 http://www.ukpcoforum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=1775 Good luck!

    Logun S16s

I've got the mkII S16s and its a fine rifle, very accurate indeed and will easily take down bunnies at 30 - 40 yrds (with practice). It did have a slight problem with an air leak once, but "Logun SG3" grease on the air bottle thread sorted that out straight away. Yes it's a little on the heavy side compared with the likes of S4xx range of Air Arms rifles, but fit a sling for long walks and a bi-pod to rest on and you'll be fine. Personally I don't find it that heavy to be honest, just get down the gym and you'll be fine A lot of people slate the Logun S16s but the problems encountered are down to user error, double loading pellets is a common problem. I admit I double loaded mine a few times when I first got mine but luckly cleared it with a pull of the trigger, (the barrel is an **** to get off!!). One issue I would draw your attention to, getting specific Logun parts (from Webley/ AGS) can result in a loooooong wait, they are not very quick at all!! You can wait for ages (upto 4 weeks) for parts to arrive (like seals, QD Studs, filler adaptors etc...) but you should get these when you buy the gun. I got mine secondhand for £300 with AGS Swat Scope, bag and in .22 flavour Top Tips when buying second hand: I'd suggest you go for the "Mk II" S16, it is far more reliable than the Mk I. Make sure it has with it (in order of importance) 1) S16 filler valve (or S16s filler valve depending on the rifle) 2) QD Stud 3) Spare seals Accessories: 1) Don't bother spending £60 on the "Logun Laser" you can buy lasers off eBay for under a tenner delivered which will fit in the foregrip. 2) Buy Logun SG3 grease (about £5 delivered), put a smear on the bottle thread every time you fill it up 3) "Logun Penetrators" are the best pellets I have used for long and short range hunting, but most pellets are accurate in this rifle. Other Tips: 1) Read the Instructions carefully and learn how to use the loading bolt, this will stop you double loading and possibly blocking the barrel (you can download the manual from the web) 2) Before you let mates use it make sure they know how the bolt works or load it for them, it'll save you trouble. Hope the above helps mate!
  7. Hi All, This is a long shot sale as most of the members appear to be more hunters than plinkers  I have an 8 mth old Umarex Beretta CX4 in excellent condition up for grabs with all the accessories you can get for it. I have put about 700 (oiled) pellets through it and along with plinking cans have used it to address a rat problem with some success at a local Mill. However I got the shooting bug and now have a PCP to eliminate bunnies, so sadly this great little gun needs a new home. For those who are not familiar with this rifle it's a 177 caliber semi auto CO2 rifle. It has a 30 pellet magazine and comes with the following accessories: 1 x Hardcase 9 x co2 88g cannisters 1 x 4x32 scope 1 x red dot Walther scope 1 x weaver rail riser (allows 4x32 scope to be positioned better) 1 x Umarez Air Magnum silencer 1 x front hand grip / Bipod 1 x Tactical Lamp/ 20m range/ scope mounted/ spare batts included 1 x front weaver rail adaptor (you can fit a laser if required) approx 1000 Crossman Premier Pellets (best you can get) approx 300 Wad cutters approx 300 Pointed pellets Great for those who like the "military" look and with 200 shots per co2 cannister so you'll not need any for a long while. Looking for £330 collected but of course any sensible offers accepted. Looking to get rid of the whole lot in one go so not too keen on splitting it up. the internet has a lot of write ups on this rifle and although more expensive than the "Crossman Nightstalker" is far more reliable and much better made. Please PM me if you're interested.
  8. Ohh I must be lucky, I got a reply... The PM I sent asked specific questions about the gun which are not in the thread; caliber, age, would he post etc... I got a one line response saying it was his Dad's... Which I gathered from reading the thread. It appears I correctly assumed that this chap is selling this gun on behalf of his father, but incorreclty assumed that he would be able to find this information out to aid said sale by speaking to his Dad... Which IMHO kind of defeats the object of advertising it for sale on this forum. Good luck with the sale mate, I'll leave it thanks but have a free bump...
