  1. Many thanks to everyone that contacted me. I have now acquired the 12g I wanted. Gaz - It was a pleasure doing business Neels
  2. Thanks Graham Nice looking gun, but its more than I want to spend, and the distance would just increase the final price even more Appreciate the heads-up though Neels
  3. Evening I am looking for a reasonable to good condition, safe, low budget 12g O\U. Willing to consider most makes, e.g. Baikal, Lanber, etc.... As close as possible to North Wales\ Cheshire border as I otherwise negate any price advantage with a huge diesel bill to go and fetch it. I am also looking for a similar spec 20g if anyone has one lying around cluttering up a gunsafe. To widen the field even more....... I will also consider or look at SbS Kind regards Neels
  4. Hi Myzeneye Found this courtesy of google: http://www.yildizshotgun.com/esuperpoze.html I would not know if all or any of these are available in the UK, but its probably worth speaking to NWSS. I am also looking to see if I can find some more local information on Yildiz. If I come up with anything I'll let you know I really need to invest in one of the members badges, the other idea would be to get PW shirts/shooting vests made with your username on the back;-) Cheers Neels
  5. Myzeneye Same position as you (i.e. looking for a gun), I had a look at a Yildiz at the NWSS in Sealand over the weekend, and it seemed quite nice for the price (I think it was about 500 for a new gun) - here is a link for a review http://www.shootingtimes.co.uk/guns/92995/...gun_review.html I've not shot one yet, so my opinion is based on look and feel in a gunshop, and what I've read, but it seems to be a gun one could consider? Anybody here used one before? Regards Neels

    .410 Wanted

Evening all Looking for a .410 s/s or o/u to ease my youngster (lanky 8 year old) into shooting with something bigger than an airgun. I am not overly concerned about condition (i.e. it doesn't have to be in mint condition), as long as it is a safe and reliable gun, and doesn't cost the earth - which means that I don't have to run the purchase order past the Financial Manager:-) I might also consider a 28g, but I hear ammunition is expensive? Regards Neels

Evening Can you recreate this, i.e. is it on the same page with the same forum members that posted - it could be that someone has some Danasoft script in their signature. What you can do is to copy the URL in the address bar of the page you get the flag on and PM me, if you are not allowed to post it here, and I can see if I can recreate the same issue on my machine. By most accounts it is not malicious - but I suppose never say never.... Neels
  9. I am truly amazed - FLO visited last Monday (very polite and professional gentleman) - came home today and there was the shotgun certificate. I have heard that others have had problems and or delays with the North Wales Police, but whether it had to do with luck or a low work load I can only but speak highly of them. Now I can start perusing the "for sales" with much more diligence;-) Cheers Neels
  10. Many thanks for the welcomes - Had my visit from the FLO on Monday, so now I am patiently waiting to see what comes out of the woodwork. A quick question to anyone seeing this. Is it possible, or indeed legal, to buy an 12g and 20g at the same time and having both of them added to the certificate at the same time (i.e. saving to have to apply for a variation later), or is that being a bit pushy? Regards Neels
  11. Evening All I am new to this forum, originally from South Africa, but sadly do not have the the advantage of being able to claim to be young anymore, like some other new people;-) Currently living in North Wales, around Mold, and have done so for the last year. Owned various rifles (.117, .22, 6.5 x 57, .303), shotguns (12g) and pistols (9mmP) in South Africa, but [soul damaging] had these destroyed when I moved to the UK. Since being here bought a .22 SMK, just to keep the dream alive, and getting a visit from the friendly FLO on Monday to see if I am a suitable candidate for a Shotgun certificate - Hoping fervently all goes well. Whilst I do have lots of shooting experience and exposure in SA the shooting culture, laws and the way things are done does appear to be significantly different in the UK, so kindly bear with me if I ask to many questions or appear out of touch with reality;-) Looking forward to some useful and enjoyable interaction Kind regards Neels
