Well Done Rizzini nice decoying.

Went for a days decoying with my cousin at a regular farm near Chelmsford area.The day started foggy and it looked like there was nothing flying.We moved to another location up the farm and the decoys started pulling the birds in.There was loads of flocks flying and they were hitting the farm nex to us but occasionally few would break up and go for our decoys.If it wasnt for a bit of bad shooting to start off with we should have bagged more but when we got the shooting sorted out then the birds dried up but we managed seven in all.It was an enjoyable day and when you see the decoys pulling the birds in then it makes it just that more special.After we packed up we made our way back to the car and thats when my cousin bagged the rabbit to complete a really good day.

Thanks for your replies puppy is now ok.I thought he was scared but now worked out he just did not want to be pulled with the lead.Kept on taking him out and now he has given up fighting and walks where i pull him.When he just laid down on the floor i assumed he was scared. Really enjoying my walks with him now. cheers

I have a 13 week old jack russell as my first dog.He is great but the only problem i have with him is he is scared to go for a walk.First time he went out he was ok but now he would only go as far as my drive and then just lie on the floor.I tried pulling him and giving treats(which works for couple of feet then he is back on the floor again).I am sure he is scared of noises around him but dont know whether to continue taking him out.Will taking him out when he is scared make the problem worse?.I appreciate anyone with advice as i am sure i am not the only person to have this problem. what is the best way lamping with atom tracer pro?.Is it advisable to use red filter although i can dim the light with this model.Also is it best to put full beam on to search for rabbits then lower beam as i move closer to the rabbit.Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

i am hiding under cammo net and the grass is short being a cricket club.I found a spot in the ditch and hang the net up over me.I was thinking if the grass being short is having an effect for them not to come out.I am certain they cant see me as the cammo net is hang up well around me.I can hear loads of rustling around me but no rabbit is coming out.Should i just carry on and just wait or chanage to a different hiding position?.

hi Axe As far as i am aware they were shot before long time ago but i am the only one going up there now.can i put anything on my clothes to mask any smells as i think they smell me and hence not coming out.

i have a gun lamp madjack xverminator with red filter but cant shoot anything with it, as no rabbits are coming out near me.Tonight waited fo 2 hours heard noises but nothing came out.I left after 2 hours.This is like that all the time i go there.I was wondering if i have to wait longer.

Hi all i have permission to shoot at my local cricket club using my air arms s400 air rifle.For a long time now i wait for ages hiding behind my cammo net and bushes.No rabbits are coming out.I tried down wind,tried lamping and going at different times of the day still no rabbits.When i see a rabbit it usually comes out far away from where i am and cant get near to it for a shoot as the rabbit just runs away.Seems like they know i am there hiding as i can hear them making noises in the bushes but cant see them.I know there are rabbits there as i shot one couple of months ago but aint head a chance since then.Every time i see one they just dont let me near them.How long do i have to wait for rabbits to show and with cold weather now on the way will they start coming out?.

Hi i have purchased a second hand Hills stirrup pump for my pcp.The pump has no dry pack filter.Can i use it to pump my pcp for a while or wait till i buy a filter.The guy i purchased it from seems to think i dont need a filter at all.Does anyone also know where the filter is fitted?.

I have never been lamping for rabbits before and i think i might have to, as the rabbits where i shoot are not coming out during the day.I was wondering if i could use a normal headlamp torch white light or will this scare them away.If so could i just buy filters to attach to my torch.How do you also approach the rabbits with the light.Do yo walk slowly or you have to crawl towards them.How far will they let you approach with the light before you can take a shot.If you have any lamping experience then could you please point me in the right direction. Thanks.

I have purchased an airarms 400 pcp rifle today and every penny was worth spending on this rifle.Precharged means the rifle is filled with air and once air is used you simply fill it up again.I will have to go to my local shop for time being but will probrably invest in a pump or divers bottle in the future depending on use.I would recommend this rifle to you, it looks good and shoots very accurate.My one is a .22 and i purchased it for same reason as you to shoot rabbits.Hope we both have good luck . ps carbine means its a shorter model and simply holds less charge. hope this helps

Thanks magman i saw that on youtube and was wondering where to get one cheers for that.The rifle will nearly be like a 410 multishot model.What range have you got your rifle zeroed at.I zeroed it at 20 metres (max length of my garden) today and hit the bullseye every shot superb rifle.

i dont have a pump magman but once i get to 100 bar i think ill fire a few more shots and get it filled back up at the shop.Do you hunt rabbits? and if yes then what is the max distance you shot a rabbit with this rifle?.

Thanks Magman but will the rifle loose power if bar drops below 100 or will it be ok to leave it to 0?.

i have purchased an airarms s400 airrifle and i am really pleased with it.Does anyone know when to refill the rifle.I mean will i start loosing power after the gauge drops to 100 bar or can i wait till empty.I know the filling max is 190bar.
