Hi guys thanks for the replys. My mate had zeroed the gun himself but i then zeroed it to my own eye before i decided to shoot the pigeon or should i say the rat with wings! I meant first shot at live quarry(sorry)And as for the back drop from the shot, i have nothing but open fields beyond my back garden and new that the shot was a safe one, i always think before i pull that trigger,its good practise! I must say though that my mate seems to think the rifle is legal and it has been checked but i have been out shooting rabits with it tonight and me thinks it may have a little more power than he says! It has made up my mind about getting one though, its a defo :blink: Cheers Jay

Hi all I have just been fortunate to be able to borrow my work mates HW80 over the weekend and all i can say is Jesus what a rifle, i have a very big garden and on the first shot took out a pigeon with a head shot at about 40 yards. no bull!! nothing short of amazing! I really can see why so many people likes these rifles. Cheers Jay

Hi Can anyone please tell me if the stock on the new BSA lightening xl will fit the action on the older modal lightening? I prefere the old barrel design on the lightening but love the stock on the new lightening design! I know the silencer would be better on the newer design but i am planning the fit a weihrauch silencer to it anyway. Any help with this would be really appreciated

Hi, I thought it was the other way around! I thought that if a .22 gas strut was fitted to a .177 it put it over the legal limit Thanks again

Hi, Can anyone tell me if i will be making my .22 BSA lightening xl power over the legal limit if i fit a .177 Theoben gas strut to it? I can bye one cheap from a friend you see. Any help on this would be great. Thanks
