Very true ,was my scope ,and it was 8.5 x25 x50 mark 4 ,it is a very good scope ,but it was set up for me and not him ,nightforce scopes are very good to.But practicing on a range and in the field brings the best out of your scope and yourself ,a bit like finding your way around a lady in the dark ....lol,

After puchasing my new shotgun last wednesday,a lovely brand spanking new Winchester SX3 ,which i was eagerly waiting to try on Saturday,Dave K from the topgunners had arranged for me to meet him on the Saturday ,but to my dismay the heavens opened ,all day long it rained . Sunday came ,nice and dry ,we met up to put the new gun through it's paces . Setting up on the edge of a barn near Stratford Upon Avon ,sheltering from the wind we set up the crows decoys ,wasn't long before they started coming in,Dave started up with a couple of good shots ,hitting one high and one full on ,I got my first shot off ,missing,wasn't long though before i got another chance. Hitting a lovely crow entering the pattern .Both of us had some good shots ,not to mention a very high magpie ,which we both put claim to.After a few qiuet times and dodging the showers we ended up with about 34 crows and 1 magpie, I must say the Sx3 is a delight to shoot ,light ,hardly no recoil and very fast,a good gun for the pigeon shooter . Even Dave K WAS IMPRESSED .

Nothing wrong with the scope ,its a cracking scope ,just the silly old sod looking through it ,he should go to spec savers ,as the sight was set for me ,especially when its on x20 mag at night and looking on the edge of the beam of the lamp ,tried most scopes and all have good points and bad. A zoom scope will always be darker at night when set on high magnification compared to a fixed power scope ,i've hit many targets and vermin out to 600 yards with the first shot with the leupold. Good build quality but with the typical eye relief of an american scope ,so no one can sue them over cracking there eye with the scope ,with the recoil .Thanks for the shooting again yesterday ,my old mate.Not a bad bag on the crows . Winchester SX3 is sweet .
