  1. Best advice I can give is go see a specialist dermatologist and not your local quack unless he specialises in this area.

I had a similar issue which appeared in my early 40's and the local quack called in the Rosacea card and prescribed me what I can only describe as Nitromors for your face!!

On application it burnt like hell and stripped skin layers without fail, which made the situation worse. So next quack appt saw a doc that was a trained dermatologist who immediately diagnosed a form of dermatitis and prescribed Canestan cream as it is a bacterial thing. It hasn't fully gone away but is significantly better than it was. Sunlight improves it. (more holidays required) and I also use Clarins moisture balm which is very very good but @ £28 a pop is not cheap.

Stress somehow makes it flare up.

Don't let it knock your confidence, go get it properly diagnosed.

    Cheers

  2. Just stopped firing as if the safety was on. Id shot RBB no trouble the day before and 50 odd shots then it just packed up.

I am having a little jaunt to Norfolk Sat (oh today now) to return it back to the shop I bought it from. Gunsmith said he will have a look. Failing that its back to Browning in Belgium.

  3. Make sure the Px insert for the glasses you choose has a big enough field of vision as from experience they can be two small to give you the correct clear sight picture you need. Last pair I had done a couple of months ago at Specsavers were £39. Boots wanted £70 and an independent opticians £110 so shop about.

Optilabs in Croydon do bespoke prescription glasses but ther'e not cheap.Around £170 http://www.optilabs.com

  4. Thanks for the responses and advice guys.

Before I tore it down it chrono’d @ 305-310 fps

I have just found the booklet that came with the gun and the specs state 350 fps for the .22 new!

So with that in mind and your experience s4s I think I will bite the bullet on it as its probably not worth the cost and effort on the internals for another possible 40 fps.

I’ll concentrate my efforts on replacing the broken pistol grip & side covers with wooden ones so at least it will look nice :D

    Thanks again

    Regards Roly

  5. Hi looking to do up my Cougar pistol I first had as a kid.

Looking for leather piston Seal 1" dia or modern PTFE equivalent (if available for this gun) and new mainspring.

Does anyone know where I could get these spares please.

    Thanks & regards

  6. right ive seen the little camera rings but if you look on the internet at a handy cam there is no place for it to go on :/ im realy confused a cant understand because if the rings are small the pipe might slip off them and not hold camera up stright it might sag

    Kitchy

the filter adapter ring screws into the lens, you then have to fix the larger diameter to the scope. See Snypercat vid on you tube. Explains it all.

Also a good linky to a decent priced IR illuminator on there from Odiforce.com which ive just ordered for my intended handycam set up.

    Hope that helps

    Cheers

  7. Today while working in Luton i noticed the Shell garage round the corner from the airport was absolutely jam packed and i couldnt understand why because its never that busy.BP (who i have to use-fuel card) are always busy though.

Today they were sold out of unleaded , the dearest diesel only available and limiting drivers to 15 quids worth. Asda around the corner completely sold out so as I was on empty had to queue for half an hour at the one on Hitchin Road roundabout. Did notice the garage was full of Luton cab drivers though and theres a few of them in Luton. Once the word gets out that garage will be empty as well!

  8. If you can't get them on the drill, normally in my experience they don't take much interest in the young plants. Youll start to get some action when the pods start to blacken off, which is when the harvest will be close. First few days after the harvest on the spilled beans can also be very productive. Good luck
