  1. Atmospheric pressure is 1 Bar. A 3Litre cylinder with 232Bar holds 232x3L of compressed air and a 3L 300 Bar holds 300x3L of compressed air. Your rifle will work at about 200Bar but even though the volume is less than 3L, with a 232Bar, you'll only be able to use (232-200)x3L before you get to a level that cannot fill the gun to 200Bar. With a 300Bar you can use (300-200)x3L before it can't fill the gun right up. Useful fills are about the same from 12L 232Bar as from 3L 300Bar plus the 300Bar is a sight smaller and lighter. If your bottle is filled at a shop, it'll heat up, some fill under water to cool the tank. As the whole thing cools down the pressure may have dropped so ask nicely for a top up, especially if you live some distance away. It'll save fuel. Hope this helps.
  2. Try this. Brilliant performance. http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.22934 Malc
  3. Surface use only - valve with gauge needs to screw directly into bottle; 5 years between hydro test £27 - £35 normally non-refundable and if it fails they chop it up, make sure you get the valve and boot back etc Dive Bottle - valve with DIN or A clamp fitting that you add the gun valve to; 5 yearly hydro, same price, plus needs visual at 2.5 years inbetween. Even if you tell them that its for air gunning, they have to assume that as its capable of being used underwater and they have to test it for that. Steel, cared for properly can go on for some time, avoid leaving it at 1 Bar and protect the gauge as they break easily and cost the earth. Carbon have a 15 year life, period. If you don't test it on time, a shop shouldn't fill it (one blew up when being filled, which caused all the fuss). Feel the temperature of your 300Bar bottle after filling. Top tip - give the bottle a chance to cool and then use a threaded end cap in the end of the filler pipe to check the bottle pressure (Check fleabay - <£5). If its not 300 Bar ask the 'Barkeep' for a top up, especially if you live a distance from the shop. Regards Malc
  4. The factory is less than 35 miles from you. Best place to have your gun serviced and you get to look round the factory too. As for the cost give 'em a ring. Angie is lovely to speak to and anything she doesn't know, she'll find out and call you back. Mine is due at the end of the year and I'm planning on taking it to them. Regards malc
