I Had it on my 17 HMR and i had a clulite blaserlite with a infra red filter mounted on to scope and i shot vermin out to 80 metres. With supplied ifra red illuminator it would be fair to suggest a distance in the region of 50 metres.Take a look at some of the footage on you tube which will help you form a fair opinion. Hi Paul The add ons are telephoto lens's that increase the magnification of the image on the NV scope as it is pre set at 5x on a standard day scope you have to adjust the numbered ring on the tube to increase the magnification,but on the dedicated NV scope you have to fit extra lens to up the magnification.There are also fittings to allow either a laser or a long distance lamp like the cluson lazerlite with a infra red filter to be fitted for further distances. Hi Ben the realistic range is 70 plus metres but with enhaced lighting (lazer light/deben tracer with infra red filter considerably further i also have a fitting that goes straight onto the unit to fit a clulite lamp to achieve greater distances. Regards Gary

Hi Guys The easy way is to just ring the police prior to shooting and enter your name on the shooting log giving your name, how many in your party ,car reg,post code of shoot,and they will give you a reference number and if the bobbys arrive to check you out they will cross ref your details on the shooting log.When i have completed shooting for the night i ring again to let them know i have finished. And of course i carry my licence and permission slips with me.The Police seem very pleased if you take the trouble to keep them in the picture as to your legalshooting related night time activites Regards Gary
