    I think most of the thanks should go to tightchoke as he did most of the work raising the money all i did was to let people know how Martin was getting on as i new quite a few people on here liked him..

    He is a good friend he used to pop down on a regular basis just for coffee and he used to contact me on a regular basis as well just to make sure i was OK and he came down a few times shooting and was always good company..welcome down here any time...

    On the way home from shooting clays got a FaceTime call from Martin big grin on his face seems over the moon with the iPad,

    I ended up doing most of the talking he was finding it difficult to say what he wanted, any way i chatted to him for about 15 minutes think i must be the only mobile number he has on his iPad. could not figure out if he had managed to log on to the forum or not will have to see when Jackie next goes to see him she is allowed 1 visit per week for 75 minutes..Never mind it is going to give him some thing to do better than being bored stuck in there..Think you could get better visiting rights if you were in prison..will update soon as i have any more news..

    Well Martin has the i pad i was sat watching TV last night phone rang FaceTime call when i answered it was Martin in his room with Jackie he's looking good, chatted for a while he's trying to get on PW..

    He is having trouble with his speech but that will come back in time but got this so decided to put this up so you all could see ......with a thank you note to everyone seems happy with it .

    Not yet spoke to Jackie yesterday her son is putting programs on for Martin he is into PC for a living has been away but she hopes he will get it finished this week end so she can take it next week..

    Asked her how Martin was doing and apparently he is doing 12 laps of the hospital grounds 3 times a day its building up the strength in his leg.

    The thing he is having trouble about is his speech but told Jackie that will come back with time and he has memory lapses as well...

    got 4 flappers that are very rarely used could sell a couple £35 each or £50 for 2 but would need to be collected will not post..

    His phone was given to the family from Jackie ( who was using it as my contact number was in it along with a few of martins other mates and loads of pics ) when they asked for it they then said it was broken so they gave him another phone and all it has on it is there contact numbers and a few photos of them.. Martin asked why there was no photo's of Jackie  they said his phone had been broken...and they are blaming Jackie for that..

    My comment was if the other phone was broken how did they get the photo's on to the phone they have given him if it was so called broken beyond repair,,,

    It is a iPad but we also got him a magic key board,,,,,,the pic is with the iPad set up on the key board bigger keys might be easier for him...

    My son sent me a video clip from oslo where he lives there was reported 19,000 lightening strikes in under 3 hours put a lot of places in darkness it knocked out the electric services..

    looked bloody fantastic one brilliant light show...

    well just got back from Jackie she was over the moon with it, her son is going to call over this weekend and set every thing up for him said to make sure he has pigeon watch on it if nothing else..

    Jackie is going to visit on monday she will take it then, asked her to send text of his reaction and also video it if she can..

    She showed me sone pics she had on her phone from her first visit to last he looks like death warmed up in the first one then she showed me the others and what a difference he is coming on amazingly well he'a doing laps round the hospital grounds he certainly looks a lot healthier which is good but having a lot of trouble with his speech that is to be expected ....well roll on monday im only 40+ miles away so might just hear him..

    Dave did you get the photo's i sent over..

    going for a shave them drive up to Newcastle to deliver the i-pad to jackie so she can deliver to Martin this weekend when she visits him..

    She asked me if i wanted to go visit and give it to him myself as they are allowed to take someone with them now, my answer to that not bloody likely

    but if she could get a video i would be good..
