You can load lighter bullets in the Swede if it's velocity your after ,95 gn vmax ,100 gn nosler ,120 gn nosler ,120 gn pro hunter etc
With a 175 yrd zero my Swede drops less than 4" at 250 yrd with 100 gn bullets
-
Would you post the nosler bullets ? If so how much for the 100 and 120 gn posted
-
Some people like me have no choice ,I had an accident a good few years ago now and I'm completely blind in my left eye , my shooting is no different if any anything a little better .only thing I've noticed is judging range isn't as easy
-
Cut up and old credit card to the shape you need ,slacken the stock ,put the shim in for more cast drop etc and re tighten ,a crude but cheap fix to get the gun fitting you better

Forend latch spring Wanted for a Winchester 101 xtr waterfowl ,I'm not sure if these are the same on all 101 models ,it's basically a flat piece of thin steel
-
Vortex defender caps are much better mate and built to last
-
I also use an xtrema (the first one ) and can't fault it, it's the only 3 1/2" auto I've kept and I've had a fair few
-
I have a xtr 101 waterfowl 32" barrel there great guns
-
Keep your fired cases and empty boxes and reload them
-
Il take this please
Pm sent

I've got a reply from an email I sent to briley a while ago and they said there I/m X2 extended choke can be used with any sized steel shot and ive fired hundreds of 5mm and Bbb through it with no ill effects .
I've tried them all and found briley I/m (or a briley exr) to be the best for all sizes of shot but if you tend to use 4mm and smaller Id go tighter again
-
A great days sport and pest control good on yous thumbs. give the fiocchi 32 g steel 4s a try as well if you haven't already , there a little cheaper than the super steel and IMO probably a bit better
-
Had them like that with certain 3 1/2" loads , the 3" loads didn't punch through but we're still very noticeable ,
Il pm you the loads and you'll see there nothing hot
-
The only time my versamax put holes in the case was when I was using some home loads that were a little " hot" never had a issue with factory shells , was yours with homeloads ?
Yes mate they were home loads but nothing I'd call hot though ,I really liked the gun but like most new semi autos i just don't think there built to last ,I fire the same 3" home loads in my browning bps ,xtrema ,remi 1100 and Winchester 101 waterfowl and they've never missed a beat
-
A lot of the new autos seem to have problems and I've had most of them ,if it needs to be 3 1\2 " look for an old xtrema 1 or 2 ,I had a versa max and shot very well with it but after a fair bit of use the bolt link broke it also had a habit of putting 2 holes through the case were the ports are so not good for re using emptys .if 3" any of the Berretta 300 series 301 ,302,303 and 391 or 3" remi 1100
-
If something is sorted with a barrel of m92s and it needs a few folk to justify it then I'd glady chip in ,best powder I've used for light steel loads

I've used it and found it good but have went back to Skinners duck & rice which my dogs seem to do better on
