  1. Darren M, I just started over a 1200 acre syndicate near St Albans,Herts. Loads of Pigeon and from the ones I shot on Tuesday they're feeding on either tree buds or clover.Could'nt quite tell. Cheers Bazza
  2. Will, The only yhing I would say about your company mate that its so succesful every time I phone to pay a visit and buy some stuff (i live 6miles away) you're out of stock and I end up going some 35 miles away to purchase. Do me a favour. This time of the year its going to be busy....Get Some More Gear In!! More misumba's for you and more happy customers. You know it makes sense. Cheers Bazza (Verney Junction, near Winslow)
  3. Hi Big Dog, Makes two of us.Just started after 13 years lay off,now back to it with me lad Nat. I can give you some additional tips added to our forum chums; 1) Make sure there is some camy at the back. The birds can see straight through if you have'nt good cover behind. 2) Get camy tape for the barrels.Again if you got shiny barrels like my lads Miroku, the blighters can see it thru quality camy netting. 3) Get a crate with cushion. Its about the right height and it saves you wasting valuable time in trying to get up.Especially if you are an old **** like me. All the best mate Bazza
  4. I've been out of the Pigeon Shootin for at least 13 years and returned to it with my lad,Nat and boy did we enjoy it. I just need some pointers. We've got some 1200acres to shoot over and the first two days over some winter sown rape not much action or no real indication of flight paths. However Tuesday gone we changed areas and found a half decent flight path and set the deeks down.We shot 4 in hour and half (missed about 8) and the action was good. After seeing what was in the pigeon crops it was either clover or tree buds but not the recently sown wheat that the deeks were in.Now to my question: Do the deeks really need to be in a crop where the pigeon are feeding on or as in our case if the deeks look good thats enough to drag them in? Any advise would be grateful. PS any good recipes? Cheers Bazza

Hey Digga, Take it in your stride.Everyone is entitled to an opinion as long as they don't try to spoil your day & **** on your patch. I somtimes think we make too much of Antis.I never seen any & we have lived in the sticks in North Bucks for about 18 years. Mind you I hope it stays that way. Bazza
  6. Tommy, Great is'nt it.I'm just restarting shooting the grey wonder with my young lad (nat) whose 12.Just got him shod with a 20B and we are off next Friday doing some decoying over a recently aquired 1200 acre shoot in Herts. I just hope competion does'nt get in the way as its done with my boy withg fishing. He's currently "winning" over me alround with the biggest carp , Uk @ 26lb 5oz and French 38lb 4oz. Joking apart its great fun to have a healthy competion between ole man & son and good luck to you and your lad. Bazza
  7. Fisherman Mike Thanks for your warm welcome. I found out I live just a few mile from UKShootwarehouse. The only thing is that business is going so good for them that they have'nt got much left.Although their communication by e-mail and by phone was very accomodating I needed the gear before next Friday. So thanks to "DoubleH" I went to Country Pursuits who sorted me & the lad out.# Thanks chaps Bazza
  8. Dear All, I've been on a 12 year sabbatical from pigeon shooting due to family commitments etc.My boy (Nat he's 12) now has a 20B & wants to go with the old codger to shoot some. My gear is somewhat past its sell buy date apart from an old flapper thats going to go to work again shortly.I'll cut to the chase. We live near Buckingham and can anyone point us to somewhere where we can get some clothing for adult & boy, some decoys, nets etc? Your input would be very much appreciated Bazza (natman)
