[Magpie V Rat! All action!!!!!!]

It was a small rat, however, quite entertaining. Wish I had the camera the other week when I was shooting magpies stealing my chicken feed. I shot one magpie in the head and as it started to do flip a rat the size of a horse ran out from the hedge and grabbed it. I'd tried to shoot the rat but a moving target is hard work with an air rifle. I'd never seen that before, I was well surprised.

How big is the gun mate? Have you tried the Chatham Historic Dockyard ropeworks. For a price they will even do you left handed rope which is what the Navy used to use for their cannon.

 

It`s well worth the extra expense. The run back is much reduced and their is much less of a tendency for the gun to rotate to the right in the crutch.

 

 

1.5/8ths 28 oz do they do mail order ? , never had trouble with run back before (dont want to either) the last rope has flateend out in the loops and been on for three years .
